Although generic in substance this kit opened doors and allowed me to begin the journey of ministry. Once I registered with my county I was able to officiate weddings and funerals and certain other events and to charge for my services. It can be your first and only step or just a beginning. Our official credentials are not state-specific, they are valid in all 50 states. Open Ministry is a church registered with the State of California; with the purpose to guide and support the church in its mission, outreach, and community services. Our Ministry has the right and privilege to ordain ministers. Our ministers have the same powers and rights as ordained clergy for religious ceremonies, weddings, and other sacerdotal rites.
Marriage laws vary per state and county, it is important to be familiarized and know the ministerial requirements set forth by your state and local government. States can require official documentation to register with the County Clerk or Agency that records marriages in the County you want to perform ceremonies. Received my Minister Package shortly after my ordination (11.01.20). Very well put together, with everything needed to get started.
My fiance's daughter wants to marry next year, and asked if I would get my ordination to officiate her wedding - I was honored!
But, I hope to further myself in offering my services to others as well, and - most importantly - be able to spread positivity, blessings, and the Good Word to those that have an ear to hear!

I was very pleased with the credentials sent to me for my Ordination as well as the Wedding Officiant packages. I received my Ordination in 2018 and did my first wedding in 2018. I sent off for the Wedding Officiant Package so that I will be able to officiate weddings out of state as well. I received both packages with expediency and was very pleased. I thank God because I was waiting to be ordained in a church, but they wanted me to graduate from Seminary, although I already had 2 years of Seminary training. Thank you Open Ministry for allowing me to have this part taken care of and now able to do more in Ministry.

I received my package recently for the wedding of my granddaughter in October. Having been in ministry for over 30 years, never saw the day coming I would be asked to marry my daughter's first born. I know my calling has been to "write it down and make it plain", but He had an even higher purpose for me. With this packet I am confident with it's instruments and I will not shame the Gospel! I received the minister's package and it was wonderfully made. I would have been nice to have my middle name on it as well as the title of reverend.
Still, I found the package to be very well made and includes very helpful material. I made the decision to become ordained since in Matthew 28:18, Jesus commissioned us to go and make disciples -- baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit. Thus, as followers, we make a decision to get baptized as the first step. The next step is to make the decision to spread the Word as ministers.
